We have three key programmes:

1. (Human Rights and Access to Justice)
Promoting and Protecting youth Human Rights and engaging in policy influence, human rights monitoring and intervention, and legal aid activities.

2. (Democracy and Governance)
Increasing youth participation in leadership and good governance promoting activities.

3. (Youth Economic Empowerment)
Increasing opportunities for youth to gain skills and experience in income-generating activities with a focus on environmental sustainability, and also on opportunities to gain access financial capital,

AJPRODHO-JIJUKIRWA was founded in 1996 by Students at the National University of Rwanda as a Students Association for Human Rights Promotion.

On 30th September 1997,the Association was transformed into a Youth Association for Human Rights Promotion and Development in order to accommodate both schooling and out of school youth as well as adopting an integrated approach for promoting human rights and development.

The Headquarters of the Association are in Kigali City Gasabo district, Kacyiru Sector. It has branch offices in the Eastern, Western and Southern Province.
